Saddle Therapy

Finally got to ride a horse today! It's been a crazy week and there is nothing like riding a horse to make the week better. Like Ronald Reagan said, "There's nothing so good for the inside of a man as the outside of a horse."

Weinbrand was my mount for the day. He is coming back from an injury; considering, he was a very good boy and totally fun to ride. He is quite knowledgable and even got to teach me a few things today. Here is a picture of him enjoying himself after his "Hard" workout with his pint sized pasture mate bullet.

We also got a new horse on the farm this week. His name is Landzerin. He is a 17h Holsteiner cross, and is Kimberly's new upper lever event project. Hopefully soon you will see them galloping through the flags, with me cheering them on/videotaping/grooming for the weekend :) Below is a picture of him (bay off in the distance) and his pasture mate Sylvester (pinto standing by the cross-country jump).

We also had a horse leave and go to his new home. Bert was an american warmblood with the SWEETEST puppydog personality. We will miss his quietness around the farm, but he has a great new home, and is the perfect match for his new owner.

Well I guess I'm off to do some homework. Tomorrow is the last day of class for a while. We get a 5 day weekend. yay!!! I will be at the barn covering shifts for all the girls who are going home for the weekend.

I'll leave you with this tidbit from Albert Einstein. "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving."  So everyone find some balance in your life, move on from the past and look forward to a bright tomorrow.

Until next time,

Lindsey
