Short Week??

Well its been a few days since I posted. This week is a short week at school, but so far it hasn't felt that short at all! The weekend went pretty good. Landzerin did well at the show on Saturday settled in nicely.

Sunday the Calhoun class of 2011 lost a dear friend. Camyrn Pass lost her life in a tragic car accident. I graduated a few years before them, but knew who she was. She had many people who loved her dearly, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

On Monday Kimberly and I took Brooke off site to school in a large dressage arena to practice First Level test 3 which she will be doing next weekend down at Poplar Place. We also brought Landzerin along for the ride to get some more off the farm exposure. Both of them did really good. Then it was back home for me to help teach a dance class. The girls did pretty good we learned a few new steps, so their dances should be pretty exciting in the spring show :)

Tuesday was a rainy but busy day. Someone came to look at a horse for sale in the morning, so had to get the barn looking tidy for their arrival. The rain let up, then as soon as they arrived the clouds opened up and needless to say everyone was soaking wet, but on a positive note they loved the horse and he also was a very good boy considering the circumstances. The vet got there about 10 minutes after they left and we vaccinated and  pulled coggins on about seven horses and a few other things on some of the horses. After he left the rain started up again, afternoon lessons were canceled,  so I headed home for a much needed nap :)

Wednesday school started back. We had a pretty interesting Microbiology lab. We went to the dairy and milked some cows. Friday we are going to test the milk samples we collected for mastitis. Fun fun :) Gathered some research for my health and disease paper after class then headed to choir practice. Practice went well despite our choir director being absent due to a loss in the family. Our Christmas music is sounding good getting ready for our Christmas dessert theater at church. After choir I headed home to write my research paper on the procedural and economic implications of Foot-and-Mouth disease. Was pretty interesting finished most of it, but only a rough draft. Then had to study for my Principles of nutrition exam. Finally went to sleep about 3:30am and then had to wake up at 6:30 and do it all over again.

Made it to school this morning with rough draft in hand and felt semi prepared for my exam. Swapped my paper with someone for peer review and took my exam which I felt pretty good about.

So as you can tell from my LONG post my week hasn't been very short at all!!

Here's the quote for the day

"Life wouldn’t be the same without you and all the memories you have given me."

So remember the ones you've lost not by the fact that they are not here anymore, but by the memories they gave you and be glad you had them in your life while you did knowing that one day you will meet again.
